University of South Florida Breaks Ground

BBA is excited to share the groundbreaking of Uptown Landing—a transformative, nearly $500 million mixed-use destination that will create a vibrant new place to live, work, learn and gather at the University of South Florida.

The approximately 30-acre first phase will bring together 700 new student housing beds, four to six restaurants, retail space, a hotel and conference center, and the Translational Research Institute—a major academic research facility designed to support approximately 1,000 researchers and 100 NIH-funded investigators. Located within walking distance of USF’s new on-campus stadium, Uptown Landing will serve students, alumni, Bulls fans, and the broader Tampa Bay community throughout the year. 

We’re proud to help turn this ambitious vision into reality. The first phase is expected to open in fall 2028.
