New Jersey Mixed-Use Project Starts 2nd Phase

Baker Barrios Architects (BBA) is proud to partner with LeCesse Development Corp. and MAS Development Group on ECCO, a 258-unit luxury apartment community that will serve as the second phase of the Vintage City mixed-use development in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Located at 260 Union Street and scheduled to deliver in late 2027, ECCO builds upon the success of Vinty, the 267-unit Class A community completed in 2022 as the first phase of Vintage City. The larger transit-oriented development has already introduced more than 35,000 square feet of retail space—including restaurants, a bank, and coworking space—helping to energize and transform the surrounding neighborhood.

BBA is leading the design of both the interiors and exteriors for ECCO, which will feature four-story, elevator-serviced buildings with enclosed hallways and a central courtyard. The community will offer a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom residences with thoughtfully curated finishes, including Italian cabinetry, wood plank-style flooring, quartz countertops, Energy Star appliances, tile backsplashes, upgraded lighting, walk-in closets, and SMART home technology with features such as voice-controlled lighting. Designed to deliver a refined, modern living experience, ECCO continues the vision of creating high-quality, amenity-rich housing in the heart of downtown Elizabeth.
