Baker Barrios is proud to be a sponsor and partner of Wheels for Kids. For 22 years, this annual holiday giveaway has demonstrated an incredible show of generosity and community spirit. This year, children aged 5-15 living in the Reeves Terrace Neighborhood were pre-selected and gifted nearly 130 kick scooters!
The annual event is part of the Wheels for Kids program, started by Commissioner Sheehan in 2002 when students in Reeves Terrace could no longer use the bus system to take them to school. To date, the program has provided more than 2,000 bicycles and scooters through the help of generous community partners. (City of Orlando, 2023, December 22).
