Two local development news sites outlined the next steps for developer, Real Estate Inverlad, in Ivanhoe Village.

With the last of its 591 apartments set for delivery in August, the developer behind The Yard at Ivanhoe is prepping for its next two phases.

Real Estate Inverland Development President Chance Gordy told GrowthSpotter he scrapped the approved plans for a 3-story mixed-use building with 24 apartments at 1401 Alden Rd., next to the existing development. Instead, he worked out a deal to keep local watering hole, The Hideaway Bar, in the neighborhood.

Inverlad will build a new 3,600-square-foot building with a wraparound patio on the site that used to be home to The Venue and will dedicate the rest of the lot, about a third of an acre, to City of Orlando.

The project will rise adjacent Inverlad’s nearly completed $175 million, 591-unit mixed-use project called The Yard at Ivanhoe. That project, along with the recently completed 252-unit Lake House development, have driven plans for new restaurants and shops in Orlando’s Ivanhoe Village, one of the city’s most in-demand neighborhoods.

Inverlad’s success in leasing out The Yard at Ivanhoe caused the developer to activate plans for its next project, tentatively called The Yard at Brookhaven, said Chance Gordy, senior vice president of Inverlad. “There’s a heavy demand to live and also to be a restaurant or retail tenant in the neighborhood.”
