Six Interior Design Projects That Will Make You Never Want to Leave

Whether it be your home, the grocery store or your office, interior design plays a significant role in how we feel about a space. No matter the venue, here at Baker Barrios Architects, we approach each interior design project, in tandem with our architects, with a clear intent to create spaces that offer a unique experience.

Our passionate approach to designing interior spaces was recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as Baker Barrios Architects was recently named the largest interior design firm in Central Florida.

The accolade highlights the over 4.2 million total square feet our firm designed last year. To celebrate the honor, here are a few highlights from our current and recently finished interior design projects.

Findsome & Winmore

Finished in early 2018, this project took our design team to new heights. For Findsome & Winmore, an Orlando digital marketing agency, we created a space that was true to their mission of helping elevate brands and launching them to a new level of success. With welcoming decor and travel-inspired quotes throughout the building, the goal for this was project was to make clients – from the moment they walk in the doors – feel like they are being taken on an adventure.

Kimley Horn

Creating a space that works for a diverse range of disciplines and a growing company requires balance, and that was the theme behind our office design for Kimley Horn. Our designers worked to create an environment that merged different areas of engineering and closed office spaces for privacy, but we balanced those with plenty of open community spaces for co-workers and clients to feel comfortable meeting and collaborating.

Industrious

Given today’s technology, telecommuting and staying connected – no matter the distance – is easier than ever, but having a home-base and sense of community was the design goal for Industrious, a co-working space in downtown Orlando. Inside, there is thoughtful design throughout with a focus on modern, comfortable decor and furniture as well as bright interiors. The design of Industrious also pays close attention to the little details, with art on the walls created by local artists and room to enjoy panoramic views of The City Beautiful.

Jordan Companies

Panoramic views, an open office concept, cool neutrals and pops of color were the key design elements for the all-new office space we created for Jordan Companies, a general contracting company located in downtown Orlando. As a well-regarded entity in the construction industry, the Jordan Companies knows the importance of making a good impression on clients and sub-contractors, so it was important to them that Baker Barrios convey professionalism and keen attention to detail in their interior design.

Robinhood

It’s not every day that an interior design company is challenged to bring folklore alive, but that’s the story behind the redesigned offices we developed for fintech company RobinHood’s Orlando headquarters. The stand-out design element for this space is its one-of-a-kind mural that meshes the enchantment of the Sherwood Forest with the vibrance of Florida’s natural vistas. In addition to the unique wall art, the space was centered around a blank canvas concept, which allows employees to make their own space unique, while maintaining a crisp and clean office space.

Unionwest at Creative Village

For Unionwest at Creative Village, the all-new mixed-use student housing facility at the University of Central Florida/Valencia College’s downtown Orlando campus, Baker Barrios partnered with Cannon Design to create a harmonious space that represents both schools and inspires creativity.
